BITKOM-Stellungnahme: Das Anti-Spam-Gesetz ist noch zu schwammig 19. Oktober 201216. Dezember 2006 von Michael J.M. Lang Rund 80 % aller gesendeten Nachrichten seien Spam, beklagt Bernhard Rohleder, Hauptgeschäftsführer des Bundesverbands Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien (BITKOM). Diese Belästigung schade Bürgern und Unternehmen durch den Aufwand, der nötig sei, Spam zu übertragen und zu filtern. Andererseits gehöre eine zeitgemäße Kundenansprache mit modernen Kommunikationsmitteln zur freien Marktwirtschaft.
Regierung will bei Cold Calls Gangart verschärfen 29. August 201712. Dezember 2006 von Michael J.M. Lang Schon bislang sind unerbetene Werbeanrufe bei Privatpersonen, so genannte „Cold Calls“ oder „Initiativanrufe“ verboten, und zwar im Rahmen des Gesetzes gegen den unlauteren Wettbewerb. Wie das Handelsblatt berichtet, will die Regierung nun die Gangart gegen „Cold Calls“ erheblich verschärfen, da trotz des gesetzlichen Verbots solche Anrufe nach wie vor tägliche Praxis sind.
